The annual seed order has arrived. We decided to grow something new and different every year. In 2014 the newcomers will be:
* Cape Gooseberry (Kapstachelbeere)
* Romanesco cauliflower (the trippy-looking Fibonacci-fractal broccoli)
* Tomato Golden Sunrise (the yellow ones, in keeping with the trippy theme)
* winter squash Musquee de Provence
* Sweet Pepper D'asti Giallo (also yellow, definitely a thread emerging here)
Plus the good old standbys:
* basil
* Waltham Butternut squash
* Jalapeno pepper
* Sunflower Giant for the garden
* cavolo nero
* parsnip Tender and True
* Pea Ambassador
* Uchiki Kuri pumpkin
* scented Sweet Peas Parfumiere
* sweetcorn Sweet Nugget
We've still got loads of other seeds left over from previous years:
* runner beans
* radishes
* perpetual spinach and rainbow chard -- am trying microgreens in a pot this year because this stuff has freely self-seeded around the allotment now so no worries about shortages
* onions
* celeriac
* radicchio
* bush white scallop squashes
* calendula
* cornflowers
* lots of interesting flowering annuals from my garden, the names of which escape me right now.
Should fill up garden and plot alright.
