more sewing projects

Completed a flat pouch for my yarn box today, plus a pin cushion. Woo hoo! A fellow course participant has finished a layered skirt for her daughter, another has bias-bound a t-shirt. The youngest, our emerging fashion designer, is quietly ploughing through her project. A work colleague who is also doing the course is still grappling with her shirt patterns. There's just not enough space, it has to be said, and while we're all saying we want to continue, I for one now want something rather more palatial than a tight little room where 10 women and 8 sewing machines and a few small tables jostle for space to work. My next plans involve, oh, customising a few more dresses into skirts, waistcoats for OH, maybe some quilts -- but not on less than a quarter of a square metre of workspace.
