This weekend OH and I decide that the shed absolutely has to go up.
We
spend one whole day laying the foundations but once these are there,
the next day the shed practically erects itself. However, the company
sent the wrong kit for a 6x10 ft shed – there's one set of roof
trusses missing that most definitely hadn't been delivered. So the
roof can't go on yet.
I saw and screw together the missing truss in
my workshop out of scrapwood – it's Amateur Central and totally
wonky, but it will do.
When
we put the roof on, everything is out of whack – and we have no
idea why. It's not down to the made-up truss, that's for sure. Two of
the roof boards don't meet at the top. Why would they not meet at the
top? The others do! After some headscratching, we give up and cover
the gap with tar felt and hope that none of the pigeon bombers ever
alight on the gable and put their feet through the felt.
