Most of today was rained off. It rained so hard that even the patio flooded. OH made two bowls of lovely allotment rhubarb crumble with a new topping made out of Lidl wholemeal oats.
I had been cooped up inside and was developing cabin fever so when the sun came out at 7pm, I made a late dash for the allotment. Apart from one older gentleman, who kindly offered me a portion of his rhubarb, and the allotment kittie, there was nobody there at this late time. Allotment very soggy. Took the scissors to my 3 rows of bolting perpetual spinach and chard and filled 3 carrier bags of the stuff.
Spent an hour in the kitchen stripping and cleaning the spinach, washing it and cutting it up. The big Maslin pan blanched it for me, and the outcome was 5 takeaway plastic containers full of spinach. They went in the freezer.
