Cavity walls now also done. Two hours of enthusiastic drilling and filling. Brickdust everywhere so when the workmen are gone, I'm out cleaning windows. Feel very virtuous.

24 hours is up: time to fire up the stove. Impressive draw from the chimney -- the fire is up and burning in less than a minute.

In the evening, the temperature in the living room is a toasty 26 degree.
