Because the REALLY good life is bloody expensive!

Random Plotting is based in the UK and her blog tracks her bumbling experiences as an allotmenteer, now in her 5th year, cook and DIYer. Random is wondering if it is possible to grow loads of food yet still live in reasonable harmony with nature and one's own inner lazy cow.

She lives in a semi with her beloved OH, an elderly cat and a floating population of woodlice, spiders plus an unidentified noisy rodent in the roof of the extension. Her allotment (and OH's vineyard-to-be) is only 5 minutes away on foot and, unlike her back garden, mercifully free from cat poo.
