Late
frost! Arse! All three courgettes have wilted. Serves us right. OH
mourns frostbite on his potatoes. The flowers on the inherited and
the newly purchased strawberries have dark spots in their centres. I
later find out that that's a classic sign of frost damage. Those
flowers won't go anywhere so I snip them off, weeping.
Portuguese
matey's tomato seedlings are also compost.
Much
wailing and gnashing of teeth heard all around the allotment as
ambitious gardeners survey the damage.
