Friends have replaced their fence and have dropped a big load of old wood in our driveway. Having surveyed it, I now know that that wood is too good to burn so we will build planters from it and put them in our front garden, currently a boring beachtowel-sized strip of crazy-paved waste land.
If it wasn't snowing, I'd do it today. But it's snowing and below freezing.
