Storm damage! (well, minor...)

Our second fruitcage has had its top taken off by this week's gales. It landed a few feet away and still on our plot so didn't damage anyone else's -- phew! On the "vinyard", the storm had ripped some of the ground membrane off from under the bricks and shredded some of the new shoots emerging from the Pinot Noir -- but nothing that Nature won't be able to repair. OH and I decided to leave the fruitcage until the weekend. In any case, the slugs and snails this year have been much worse than any weather.
